Purpose: To increase member’s knowledge of marketing concepts and help motivate them to a possible career in marketing or sales.

Educational Objective: To augment and support the student’s understanding of marketing concepts by preparing for and competing in events.

Description: DECA is organized around the goal to improve education and career opportunities for students interested in careers in marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. DECA at the high school level supports the development of marketing and management skills of students with a career interest in hospitality, finance, sales and service, business administration and/or entrepreneurship. DECA is a co-curricular organization that helps students to develop skills and competence for marketing careers, to build self-esteem, to experience leadership and to practice community service.
