Gay/Straight Rainbow
Youth
Description: The GSA promotes the
health and well-being of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender persons and
their Straight allies, regardless of ones race, gender, socioeconomic status,
political affiliation and of course one’s identity or sexual orientation. We
hope to enlighten the public and advocate the end of discrimination in this
adverse society. We should celebrate our differences and envision a society
that embraces everyone, with only respect, dignity and equality. We welcome the participation and
support of all who share in, and hope to realize this vision. We can be found in room C206 Informative Links Gave you a
lot to choose from, but you should still surf the net or read a
book to get more information. www.youth-guard.org (Gay and Lesbian Teen Services On The

The advisors
of our GLBT (Gay, Lesbian,
Bisexual, and Transgender) group are Ms. Pavia and Ms. Wallace, who teach within the
English Department. They are helping us create an incredible place to just
get to know others and have fun. The GSA
will be held on the second level, in room C206, at 2:05pm. (I like to repeat myself ^_^) This school
year our group hopes to become very active and participate in varying out-
of-school activities. (All of which will require a signed permission slip
from your parent (s) or legal guardian.) Sorry to those who this measure may effect. Perhaps we will find a way to work things
out, but remember we can’t promise anything. There are
currently more than nine regular members and we all welcome who ever else
wishes to join. Before the nine mentioned above including myself came along,
(according to our old advisor Mr. Ellis, who sadly left us during the summer
to move closer to his family in Texas.) there were about 30 to 40 members
involved, all straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender. Members and Their Duties Jason Booze Lacey Hollon
