Environmental Science Club (Sponsor: Nancy Bourgeois)

Purpose: To promote awareness and enjoyment of the natural world and to plan and implement environmental service projects. 

Educational Objectives: (1) To develop an understanding of the principle of ecology and natural selection and exploration of environmental issues; (2) to develop outdoor skills including hiking and orienteering; (3) to provide opportunities for grant writing; and (4) to implement environmental service projects through service learning. 

Description: Members participate in field trips, hiking and camping activities, and service learning projects. Members discuss various aspects of the environment and how to preserve the environment.

Meetings: Mondays from 2-3 pm.
