Webmasters Club  (Faculty Sponsor:  George Schwenke; President:  Katherine Guidry) 

Purpose:  To provide a resource for interested students to learn about current and emerging web technologies, while updating the school website (http://broadneck.org).  Students will also participate in local, regional and national competitions for website design and implementation. 

Educational Objective:  Students will gain practical experience in the planning and development of web pages, using current and emerging technologies such as html, dhtml, Cold Fusion, Macromedia Studio including Dreamweaver, Flash & Fireworks, CSS, Java Scripts and Java programming.  They will also learn how to maintain a web site in a “real world” environment where frequent updates and enhancements are required. 

Description: Webmasters range in skill from absolute novice to expert, and work together to maintain the “broadneck. org” website as well as helping other students and teachers use web technologies for their work at Broadneck. Regular attendance at the bi-weekly meetings is required, and all webmasters will have responsibility for one part of the school website

Meets: 1st and 3rd Monday of each month in B-204 after school.
